Ariel’s Print and Play game is just what you might need when you miss the days of coloring books, but not in the mood to look for the pencils.
With this game, you have three scenes. One is Ariel in a large clamshell, the other is her admiring prince Eric from the waves as he plays with his dog on the beach, and yet another features her dancing with Triton at an underwater party, which we presume happens after the King has lifted his ban on music. Pick whichever you want to do and get coloring!
The pictures are grayscale (as opposed to just outlined), and that may be confusing at first, but it does help you determine how dark of shade you should pick if you want to stick with the original aesthetic. Not that you have to.
This game is significantly more fun than a coloring book, too, because you have a lot more shades (navigate through them with the arrows above and below the palette on the left) and you can even use the little hand icon at the bottom to move characters around! Also keep in mind that they cannot be scaled, and as such, they will appear significantly bigger or smaller after you have moved them.
You should also use the “+” sign to zoom in (and “-“ to zoom out), because a lot of the image is in finer detail than you might expect, and you don’t wanna miss out on that. To navigate a zoomed in picture, use the four arrows at the bottom. Finally, if you have a color printer, print it!
